What is NotPaul?

NotPaul deadlines and timelines
1 The show must be confirmed within 90 days of the 1st bid and must be performed within 180 days of the 1st bid.
2
If the event is scheduled through NotPaul, all successful bids will be processed at the price of the lowest successful bid for seating/tickets of the same quality.
So your bid really is a maximum bid - if your bid is successful, you will probably end of paying much less than your actual bid amount.
3
If the show is not scheduled within 90 days of the 1st bid, the event will be removed from NotPaul.
The event may get removed sooner if there is insufficient bidding momentum or if it is scheduled through other channels.
NotPaul is where the fans help artists make amazing events
Why was NotPaul created?
NotPaul was created to get Boards of Canada to play live in LA. Pretty simple goal except that BOC still need convincing of how much a great show might mean to fans. But then there's also the idea of a Faith No More reunion with the whole crew, a FSOL show (not via ISDN), an Orbital reunion with new GT visual designs, a Grigori Perelman lecture about whatever he wants, a Neutral Milk Hotel gig, Rage playing in their old HB stomping grounds... so it made sense to leave NotPaul as open as possible so we can all help define what we want to happen and work together to make it a reality.
What are NotPaul events?
NP events are events created by admirers of a certain performer. A major part of the magic in any performance is the audience and NotPaul is where the audience work together to make the show happen.

How does NotPaul work?
Fans bid for tickets for unscheduled concerts at the prices they want to pay. While NP requires you use a valid credit card, we don't take your money unless the concert gets scheduled and we can get you tickets. If the concert can happen and if the artist/promoter settle through NotPaul, we use our own variety of a Vickrey auction to settle any bids that can be settled - that just means that your bid amount is actually the maximum amount you could pay but if you bid more than everyone else you'll end up paying just what everyone else did for a ticket of the same quality as the one you get.
You can read more about Vickrey auctions here.

Can I cancel or change my bid?
Yes. You can cancel or change your bid at any time before the concert is scheduled (AND up to 2 days after it is scheduled). After that, the cancellation and refund policies will be subject to the ticketing agents or promoters policies since they will be handling the event itself.
More details are available in the NotPaul Bidding Policy.
